Remote Working With Remote Desktop Windows XP

Still use flashdrive for presentations or for teaching in the classroom. Sometimes even have a file or data not forget that, then we must return again to re-copy it.

Not hard to use this service, very easy, even for common people, especially for people who are used to with Windows. In this paper will explain how to enable Remote Desktop Connection service and how to utilize to improve our work efficiency.

What is a Remote desktop (RD)?

RD is used to control a computer with its desktop application and its resource by using another computer that is connected through the network. By using the RD, you can access your work computer to use the other computer devices.

RD gives you full control of the computer work, as you see directly in front of your monitor. At the time you use the RD from another computer, your work computer will automatically lock itself so that other people can not enter, access your computer while you are using. To restore to original status, you can  “disconnect”.

Some of the things that we can do with services RD utilizing, among others:

• You can leave your computer still work when you leave your work space, and you can still see the work with your computer using another computer.

• Efficiency in the presentation. You can access your work computer in the office when you need a presentation in the meeting room by using another computer. In this case, you can access all the applications you have, all the files and the source of all that is connected with your computer. As you work directly with your computer work. • Monitoring research in your laboratory. How to Enable Service RD

Before the RD services, first make sure that your computer is already installed MS Windows XP Professional. Your computer must also be connected to the network that already routed with the computer that you want to use for remote.

Do not forget to record the IP address of your computer, or identify the name of your computer system with a view on the properties with the click Start –> Control Panel (Performance and Maintenance, optional) –> System –> Computer Name –> Full computer name: name of the computer.

1. On the computer that is remote, you must log in as administrator with the password secure. 2. Continue by selecting the Exceptions tab and make sure select the check box “Remote Desktop”
3. Log in to continue with the System Properties, click the Start –> Control Panel (Performance and Maintenance, optional) –> Remote System, and then select the check box “Allow users to connect remotely to this computer”. Do not forget after you have finished remoted, return the check box “Allow users to connect remotely to this computer” will not be selected again. very Important  this, for security.
4. After the computer that you will finish your remote set, you can remote the computer. On the computer that you want to use for remote, click Start –> All Programs –>Accessories –> Communications Remote Desktop Connection. Then enter the IP address or the name of the computer that will be remote.
