
Trend Micro, the famous antivirus company was found detected several sites that provided the service download or upgraded free system the newest Snow Leopard operation, that packaged together with malware system Mac. The site was discovered by researchers from the Advanced Threat, Feike Hacquebord, who previously had to upgrade the operating system, but the file contains malware named Jahlav, who deliberately designed to trick users Apple.
Once the file containing the malware is executed, it will generate OSX_JAHLAV.K decryption code, which also contains a script to download the script ‘bad’ other automatically. The code will then change the configuration of DNS and IP addresses including an additional 2 in the server that executes the code DNS.User is also directed to a phishing site and the sites ‘evil’ other. The site also has reported variant and antivirus components or false FAKEAV to trick users.
Trend Micro adds, that his side blocked the site that contained malware this and suggested to the Apple user to only bought upgraded Snow Leopard that was original direct from Apple, when later official was launched.
