Gmail Supports Video and Image Preview

A weeks ago GMail issue four new features in the Labs. Fourth feature is able to display the preview in the form of images or other information from third-party site with appropriate links in the messages that we receive. At this time preview feature Gmail supports four services that are popular on the internet that is Yelp, Flickr, Picasa Web albums, and Youtube.

If your friend sends a link of the image hosting site Flickr & Picasa, then at the bottom of the message will show a preview of the image, begitupun with the video on Youtube. Terrible you can see the video directly from within Gmail without having to visit the Youtube site.

Yelp is a site that displays the review / reviews from many people to a place, shops, services and others, but unfortunately the service is limited to the USA and UK only.

With this feature you can quickly find out the content of a link or hyperlink that is sent without the need to visit the link that is sent manually.

To use this feature you need first to actived in GMail Labs. Go to the GMail page and click on the top of the icon is green bottles shaped or chemicals can also click the Settings tab, and Labs. Search from the list of features available and select Enable for the features in question.

The emergence of the preview feature to Flickr and Yelp indicates that Google has opened the feature to a third party after only applies to Google services, such as Google Maps, Calendar etc.. Authorized through the Google blog is to encourage third parties interested in the Gmail Labs to make a site so that it can from the information content of the site can be displayed. Not impossible that in the near future will show sub-category in the new GMail labs features a special preview for this.
