Run ubuntu on Your HTC’s Touch Pro2, Enough cool right ? Well Eventually I still using windows ( Caused I have’nt money for getting my own mac. For linux, I think I’ll stay for 10.0 :P )
This all credit going for XDA developper user
After looking around on the other devices forums and testing different versions, I have found a version of Ubunutu 8.0.4 that boots up on the Rhodium and loads apps.
New files http://www.megaupload.com/?d=JZ4HEZE4 All you need to do is unzip it to your root of your sd card. If you are having stability issues with your phone in Ubuntu try using this zImage http://www.megaupload.com/?d=CID8DZ0Q
Think of the possibilities of having a fully fledged linux system on your phone, a mini netbook as such! I thought by posting this it might get some enthusiasm going for it and possibly get some Rhoduim devolpers on board. Now that the andriod build is going so well getting this to work should be alot easier I think.
Not Working at the moment:
Wifi
Keyboard- At least on rhoduim100uk the fn deosnt work so you cant get / and _ etc in the terminal
Sound
Power Management
many moreThanks and credit should go to Fatsal and Phhusson for making the build for the x1 and Fuze which without it wouldnt be possible to make this build
