duringICANN Cairlast month and the topic of discussion

turned to domaining ‐‐ in a slightly negative way.

What that person essentially remarked was that domain investing

was a business of extortion and didn’t really have any other business sense.

In his point of view, all that domainers did was to register domains faster than others and then sell it back to the rightful owners.

Now you have to remember that the people who mostly attend

than domain investors. They don’t really have their head

I counted the various business models that exist in the industry.

While it may not have turned me from an internet version of devil into a regular human in his point of view,

but I am sure that it did indeed turn downright hostility into some genuine curiosity.
